Why a discovery workshop?
Communities are always changing, and revisiting exactly who our efforts support is key to meeting their needs. Workshops are more than a way to collect information. By participating in discovery exercises, people reconnect to the big-picture goals behind their work — and to one another.

How it works
You and up to 5 other members of your team will work through a series of prompts to map out what is known about your audience, the context for your program, and your goals. Your facilitator will help you cover all the fundamental areas and identify potential gaps or points of confusion. By working methodically through the prompts, you’ll build a fresh picture of your core community and identify new opportunities to connect.
What you'll achieve
A better understanding of your audience and their requirements.
A documented framework to use as a team when describing your ideal audience persona.
The ability to empathize with the needs, challenges, and opportunities presented by your target audience.
A reflection point in time providing a framework for confirming or disproving existing assumptions about your target audience.

For over a decade, we’ve supported organizations large and small in the planning and development of community education and outreach programs. Making things that matter is hard, but incredible rewarding. We want to show others it's possible and share what we've learned along the way!
